PINOT GRIGIO

Pinot Grigio is a symbol of summer and delicious food, simple natural products. The Pinot Grigio and Pinot Blanc varieties are two varieties created by mutation of the noble Pinot Noire. It is successfully grown in cool hilly Oregon, as well as in Sicily. In Alsace, Pinot Gris, as it is called there, produces rich, fragrant white wines with a note of walnut, smoke, spices, and sometimes honey. This variety is known in our country as gray burgundy.

Nature:

Pinot Grigio Winery Virtus is a straw-yellow wine with copper nuances, which indicates the natural process of production of white wine from brown-red grapes, and already at the first meeting, the extractiveness and exceptional complexity of this wine can be noticed. It is produced and stored in stainless steel containers (90%) and French oak barrels (10%) and thus maintains its freshness and aroma of tropical fruits, ripe pears, pineapple melons, apples, and white nectarines. Enriched with oak, it tastes rich and full, slightly creamy and buttery, and fills the glasses with the aroma of honey and sweet dates, but still, fruitiness remains in the foreground. All this, well balanced, contributes to the complexity and uniqueness of this wine, which is a mandatory part of a summer meal in the fresh air.

Culinary advice with Pinot Grigio:

Mediterranean cuisine, fish specialties, pasta, risotto with seafood.

Serving temperature:

GEWÜRZTRAMINER

The Gewürztraminer variety is one of 18 noble wine varieties, often called the "adult" Muscat. The prefix “gewürz” in translation “spicy” refers to the aromatics of this variety that originates from Northern Italy (formerly South Tyrol). The wine is fragrant, floral, resembling the finest lokum, primarily because of the expressive notes of rose petals, and then the unusually oily structure.

Nature:

Virtus' Gewürztraminer is a surprisingly dry wine, but due to its intense aroma, increased alcohol content, and slightly lower total acid content, it looks sweeter than it is. The most characteristic scent of Gewürztraminer is the aroma of lychee, ratluk of rose, while at the same time you can recognize the aromas of red grapefruit, ginger, pineapple, and burning incense. With a refined and moderately full body, this wine, well chilled, is a real pleasure even on hot summer days.

Goose pate, prosciutto, smoked trout or herring, chicken salad, hard cow and sheep cheeses, fresh fruit.

PINOT NOIR

The famous French grape variety, a trademark of Burgundy, carries with it a long tradition dating back to the 14th century. It requires specific conditions for cultivation and special attention in the vineyard to produce top-quality wines, but it has also taken its place in many vineyards around the world.

Pinot Noir or Black Burgundy, as it is still known in our area, is a gentle and very sensitive variety, which due to its characteristics is a great challenge to any winemaker when making wine.

Wines of this variety are elegant and refined, and depending on the quality and the region they come from, they can be extremely expensive.

Nature:

Virtus' Pinot Noir from 2014 is a complex and rich wine, with a deep ruby red color that is not so characteristic of the variety itself, but the careful and diligent work together with the character of the climate that accompanied this variety from the vineyard to the last barrel gave an unusual Pinot .

If you peek into a glass of this noble wine, you will be overwhelmed by the aromas of ripe cherries and sour cherries, through which black forest fruits, cocoa and smoke intertwine. In the mouth layered but elegant, velvety tannins and long finishes. The wine lay in new French puddles for 20 months.

Culinary advice with Virtus Pinot noir:

This wine will go well with various dishes, starting with game, veal and lamb specialties under the sac, as well as with duck or turkey topped with red fruit sauce.
